Sinks designed to be installed above washing machines are commonly called “lily pads.” The main advantage of this installation is the space saving in small studios and apartments, especially if the bathroom area does not exceed 2-3 m2. The drain hole for these sinks is not located in the central part, like most conventional washbasins, but closer to the back of the bowl, which does not interfere with the installation of the washing machine.
There may be an error of 0.5 mm in the dimensions of the sink. The maximum depth of the washing machine is up to 50 cm. If the washbasin will be installed without a cabinet, you must purchase a set of 2 brackets. If a washbasin is purchased complete with a cabinet, then a left-hand bracket is purchased for right-sided washbasins, and a right-hand bracket is purchased for left-sided washbasins. There are also options for washing machine sinks with countertops and cabinets. In our models, the cabinets are installed under the sink drain, and a washing machine can be placed under the wing. One such option is a countertop sink above the SaNta Jupiter 110 washing machine.
